We are a group of activists in Puerto Rico working together to use Web3 technologies to empower the most important and respected non-profit organizations on the island to do the life-saving work that is essential in emergency relief operations.
A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is an emerging form of organizational structure with no central governing body. Every member within a DAO shares a common goal. Members of the DAO participate in the management and decision-making of the entity and collectively cast votes on proposals for funding distribution.
Popularized through cryptocurrency enthusiasts and blockchain technology, DAOs are used to make decisions in a bottoms-up management approach. All votes and activity through the DAO are recorded on a blockchain, making all actions of users publicly viewable.
